Ghanaian rising star Caleb Yirenkyi has earned a nomination for the Danish Superliga’s Young Player of the Month award for March following a string of impressive performances for FC Nordsjaelland.
The 19-year-old midfielder has been a key figure in Nordsjaelland’s squad, making a significant impact since breaking into the senior team midway through the 2024/25 season. His influence has grown steadily, helping his side push for a strong finish in the league.
Yirenkyi featured in all four matches for Nordsjaelland in March, delivering standout performances that underlined his growing importance. His biggest highlight came in a 3-1 victory over Vejle, where he scored his first senior goal for the club.
His rapid rise can be traced back to his development at the Right to Dream Academy, which laid the foundation for his transition into Nordsjaelland’s youth system and, ultimately, the first team.
Yirenkyi will compete for the Young Player of the Month award against talented contenders, including Midtjylland’s Pedro Bravo, Victor Froholdt, Noah Nartey, Yonis Njoh, and Ousmane Diao, all of whom have also delivered outstanding performances.
