19-year-old Ghanaian versatile footballer Caleb Yirenkyi is highly rated. While the playmaking midfielder category regroups the fewest players, the score of the top-ranked footballer, Caleb Yirenkyi (FC Nordsjælland), is very high: 82.1 out of 100.

Already a Ghanaian international, his estimated transfer value for a
big club is up to €25 million. He is ahead of his teammate, Denmark’s Justin Janssen, reflecting Nordsjælland’s taste for technical play and players.

Yirenkyi is valued at 25 million euros by CIES and is one of the big talents in world football currently. Having been linked with a move to English giants Manchester United and Arsenal in the just-ended January transfer window, Caleb is expected to move to one of the top five leagues’ clubs after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Another African Interest

18-year-old Guinea-Bissauan powerful midfielder Renato Sam-Na Nhaga was ranked the 10th best playmaking midfielder. Nhaga signed his first professional contract for Portuguese side Casa Pia in July 2024 after moving to Lusitania from Bissau in 2022.
