Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has revealed informing some players they missed out on the 2022 FIFA World Cup squad was a big task for him.
Addo announced his final 26-man squad for the Mundial on Monday, November 14, before jetting off to the Black Stars camp.
Prior to his official announcement, there were reports of conversations between him and some of the players as he informed them about the decision.
The 47-year-old, in an interview with Joy Sports, revealed that was his toughest job.
“Announcing the final squad was not the big deal,” he said.
“The big deal was calling some of the players to tell them they were not part. For me, that was the worst part.”
The Black Stara are currently in camp in Abu Dhabi with 23 players ahead of the friendly against Switzerland.
