AFCON 2023 was a chaotic competition for Cameroon as they had to deal with so many internal problems. From Vincent Aboubakar’s injury and Andre Onana’s late arrival to Samuel Eto’o interfering in players’ selection, from Rigobert Song’s doubt by fans to Samuel Eto’o questioning the patriotism of the Indomitable Lion’s players born outside Cameroon.

Assistant coach Sebastien Migne resigned on Monday from his duty.

Head coach Rigobert Song is unlikely to continue his job- this is the state of Cameroonian football.

The president of the Federation Camerounaise de Football, Samuel Eto’o on Monday evening tendered his resignation as President but the Members of the Executive Committee unanimously rejected it.

Samuel Eto’o, 42, was voted for as the president of the Cameroonian FA on December 11 2021. His tenure has been marked with bribery, corruption, nepotism and interferences. Aside from these problems, performances are not progressing as Cameroon failed in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2023 AFCON.
