Asante Kotoko has announced the departure of Cameroonian forward Georges Mfegue Omgba, whose contract has expired after a three-year spell with the club.
The 27-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2021 from Avion Academy and quickly became a fan favorite, forming a formidable attacking partnership with fellow Cameroonian Franck Etouga Mbella.
Together, they helped the club win the Ghana Premier League title after a decade-long drought.
However, Mfegue struggled to maintain his form in the just-ended campaign, making only 12 league appearances and registering just one assist.
Despite this, he has left a lasting legacy at the club, having made 64 league appearances and scoring 20 goals during his three-year stay.
