Big Carlo Ancelotti is unquestionably one of the best football managers ever. The Italian tactician ticks every box that any football fanatic will use to classify legendary football managers.

Having managed clubs like Reggiana, Parma, Juventus, AC Milan, PSG, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Napoli, and Everton in three decades, Ancelotti has seen it all when it comes to Grade A midfielders.

The Italian was pressured to select his best midfielders he has coached since he turned a professional football manager in the mid-90s.

“Best midfielders I managed? Pirlo, Xabi Alonso, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Casemiro, Lampard, Ballack, Essien at Chelsea.

“I had Arturo Vidal, Seedorf, Gattuso, Ambrosini. Unbelievable, Big Carlo concluded.”

Ancelotti has won five UEFA Champions League and he did it with an unbelievably talented midfield.

His Milan, Madrid, and Chelsea midfield was unplayable as they demonstrated passion, aggression, commitment and techniques that words can’t describe.

Ghana’s Michael Essien’s name appeared in the list of Ancelotti’s favourite midfielders, which shows the level the Ghanaian played at.
