The quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup will be played on Sunday with Nigerian side Rivers United welcoming the defending champions USM Alger.
The Nigerians finished second in Group C to Dreams FC and are poised to secure a win in the first leg to brighten their chances for the second leg in Algeria.
Rivers United are a good side at home but very bad in away games. It is almost a year since the Nigerians last lost at home. Yanga defeated Rivers 2-0 in Nigeria in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Confederation Cup last season. They have gone unbeaten at home since last year April.
USM Alger on the other hand is very inconsistent but knows how to do the business at this level. They are the defending champions of the CAF Confederation Cup and the CAF Super Cup.
Rivers are always the favourite at home but must be wary of the threat posed by the Algerians.
Stanley Eguma’s charges know that any result other than a win will put them in a precarious position for the second leg.
