Ghanaian midfielder Seidu Dauda Yussif was crowned as the man of the match as APR FC defeated Al Hilal Omdurman 5-4 on penalties in the semi finals of the 2024 CECAFA Kagame Cup in Tanzania.

Dauda, who was making his first start for the Rwanda champions was unplayable in the heart of midfield as he provided adequate cover for the back four.

He occasionally broke the Al Hilal attack and pocketed their danger men Adama Coulibaly and Mohammed Abdelrahman.

The Ghanaian at times popped up with scintillating long drives as he also sprayed passes to every corner of the field.

Dauda made way for Elia Kategaya in the 125th minute as the Lions went on to win 5-4 on penalties.

Compatriot Richmond Lamptey also replaced Gilbert Mugisha in the 80th minute and also had an outstanding game.

Dauda was presented with 300,000 Tanzanian Shillings for his prize as the MVP of the game.

APR will face the winner of the Al Wadi vs Red Arrows game in the final on Sunday, July 22.
