Joseph Aidoo is one of the most used players of Celta Vigo this season after making his fourteenth consecutive start in the La Liga against Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
Celta lost the game by 2-0 and the 26-year old Ghanaian played the full match.
Despite the fact that Aidoo was snubbed by Milovan Rajevac for the AFCON in Cameroon, the former Inter Allies center back is among the most important players of his club.
Aidoo has started the last 14 matches of Celta in the La Liga this season and in 12 of those games he completed 90 minutes making him an undisputed starter at the club at the moment.
The last time he did not appear in a league match this season was on November 1, 2021 against Rayo Vallecano (0-0). Since that game, the Ghanaian is always in the starting formation of the Spanish team.
The Copa del rey is the competition where Aidoo is given time to rest in order to recharge the batteries for the main competition – La Liga.
In all Joseph Aidoo has made 20 appearances in the La Liga this term as Celta Vigo respectably sit 10th on the league log after 26 games.
