Head coach of the Central Africa Republic national team, Raoul Savoy has sent out a bold message ahead of their game against the Black Stars of Ghana.
The Black Stars on Thursday, September 7, 2023, will host Central Africa Republic in the final Group E game in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
With coach Chris Hughton assembling a team of high profile players for the game where the Black Stars need just a draw to qualify, Raoul Savoy has said that he is not afraid Ghana.
Raoul Savoy said he respects Ghana because of its footballing history but the name does not scare them.
“No. We don’t fear Ghana but we have to respect all the players, this country Ghana and of course the Black Stars. It is not a question of fear but a question of respect” he told Ghanasportspage in an interview.
The Black Stars drew 1-1 away at Central Africa Republic and will be hoping to complete the job in Kumasi on Thursday.
