Ghana’s Black Galaxies settled for a second-place finish in Group C of the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) following Madagascar’s win over Sunday on Monday night.
Madagascar put three unanswered goals past the Sudanese as they cruised to a 3-0 victory and claimed their place at the top of the group.
Madagascar beat Ghana with a 2-1 score in their opening game before being awarded three points and three goals for Morocco’s failure to be at the showpiece.
With a last group game left, the southern Africans mastered the courage to secure all three points beating Sudan at the end of the game.
The win means Madagascar finish their group campaign as winners of Group C, three points ahead of Annor Walker’s men, who come in second place after amassing six points.
Ghana and Madagascar will know who they face in the quarterfinal of the competition after games from Groups D and E are played.
