In Group C of the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Constantine, Algeria, Ghana fell to the island country 1-2.
Ghanaian players slipped multiple times in the opening period of play due to the pitch being wet immediately before kickoff, giving Madagascar the lead.
The condition of the Ghanaian players’ boots was questioned by onlookers since the Malagasy players appeared more at ease and were more steady when playing on the surface.
“My boys are wearing good boots; each and everyone has three boots at hand” he said and went to add the weather didn’t play a part in the loss stating, “the weather was better for me than when we came… so I see it (yesterday’s game) like normal weather.”
