Charles Taylor blasts Medeama players for taking pictures with Al Ahly players after the 3-0 defeat

Former Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko forward Charles Bismark  Asampong Taylor has expressed his anger over the Medeama players taking pictures with Al Ahly players soon after the match.

Medeama suffered a 3-0 defeat in Cairo to the defending Champions Al Ahly in the opening weekend of the 2023-24 CAF Champions League.

Three second-half goals from Kahraba, Hussein El Shahat and Salah Mohsen at the Al Salam Stadium consigned the Ghanaian champions to an embarrassing defeat in their debut of the competition.

Charles Asampong Taylor on Angel Sports said, ” We have to condemn all these things as you’re better than them.

“The reason why they have beaten you is that you did not get things right,  he added.

“What will you do if you play against Christiano Ronaldo? You’ll carry him to his home before you come back for your things in the stadium”.

He continued that the Medeama players have belittled themselves for that action.

“At that stage,  you always need results. You can’t joke at that level.

He asked, “Will they take pictures with the Ahly players when they play at Baba Yara Stadium?

“The same attitude is the reason why the local-based players don’t get the opportunity to play for the Black Stars even when they’re called as they love taking pictures with Kudus, Dede and the other foreign-based players.

Charles Taylor knows a thing or two when it comes to playing against the North Africans as he played against them on so many occasions during his playing days and also once signed for Etoile du Sahel.
