The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the fixtures for the 2023/24 betPawa Ghana Premier League with Medeama SC handed a tricky journey to begin their title defence.
Medeama are expected to get busy during the 2023/24 season after also booking a place in the CAF Champions League, a tournament they will seek to book a place in the group stage.
Here are the first five fixtures of the defending league champions:
The Yellow and Mauves will face Accra Lions in their first game of the season as they are likely to play in a makeshift home with the TNA park not expected to be ready in time.
Evans Adotey’s side will then travel to Dormaa where they will face Aduana Football Club in their second league of the season. Medeama beat Aduana to the league title last season and Adotey will hope they get another one over the Ogya boys again.
For their third league fixture, Medeama will square off with one of the newly-promoted sides, playing hosts to Nations Football Club.
They will return on the road once again on matchday as they come up against Bechem United, who finished third in the league last season.
The fifth will be against Nsoatreman Football Club with the Tarkwa-based side hopeful their new home ground will be ready by then.
