After 6 attempts, Morocco’s long lasting dream of hosting the FIFA World Cup will become a reality on 2030.
The North African country will host the FIFA World Cup in 2030 alongside Portugal, Spain, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina.
Morocco made the first attempt to host the FIFA World Cup in 1994 where they lost to the United States of America.
They lost again to France in 1998 and subsequently to Germany in 2006.
Moroccans had their heart broken in 2010 and they contested and lost to South Africa.
The recent defeat to Morocco was when USA, Mexico and Canada won the bid to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Morocco in 2030 will become the second African country to host the FIFA World Cup after South Africa.
