Chelsea have confirmed new contract deals for teenager Ato Ampah, giving the 17 year-old more time to develop.
The Blues disclosed this in a statement via its website on Saturday evening. Ampah, a young Academy winger, signed a new contract with Chelsea after a breakthrough campaign which saw him become a regular for the club’s Under-18s.
A Ghanaian-born British was signed as an Under-11 from grassroots football and made his debut for the Under-18s side last year, making five appearances in total.
Ato Ampah is a very quick and dynamic attacking player who can play in a number of forward positions.
