Chelsea FC star Callum Hudson-Odoi is likely to be included in the Black Stars team for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.
The English-born Ghanaian professional footballer is in contact with the Football Association to get his nationality switch done as soon as possible.
“He (Nketiah) has not committed but Hudson-Odoi could be added as he is still engaging with the GFA,” the source, who asked not be identified, said to Reuters.
He was a player for the English youth teams and had some unofficial games for the Three Lions which leaves his nationality switch a bit difficult.
The Chelsea winger 8on loan at Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and is determined to switch nationality to play for Ghana.
He could easily make it into Ghana’s team as compared to the Three Lions ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar next month.
His compatriot, Tariq Lamptey has recently switched nationality from England and has already played in two games for Ghana against Brazil and Nicaragua respectively.
Ghana will play against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
