Samuel Nartey George, a member of parliament for Ningo-Prampram, claims that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has already completed the selection of the next Black Stars head coach.
He claims that Chris Hughton has been chosen by the Ghana FA to succeed Otto Addo, who resigned from his position following the Black Stars’ elimination from the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Despite recent hints that a new gaffer is about to be named, the position has been empty since Addo quit immediately following Ghana’s elimination in Qatar.
Sam George, however, thinks the choice has already been selected since the Ghana FA wants to pick someone they can have “control” over.
“That [coaching] job they have given it to Chris Hughton already so why are we wasting our time?” he quizzed on Joy Prime.
“They have given it to him because they want someone they can manipulate, someone they can use to do their business, someone they can tell him to bring his team selection [with changes being made with regards to agency callups] regardless of how long the person has played or not played.
“People are using GFA to make money, they are using it to feed their family.”
A new Black Stars head coach appointment is expected before the next international break.
