Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu expressed his delight following Lionel Messi’s World Cup win on Sunday evening.
Messi led Argentina to a victory over France at the Lusail stadium in a penalty shootout, securing his first ever World Cup trophy.
Atsu, who was labelled Ghanaian Messi during his youth, expressed his happiness with the result.
“The eight wonder of the world,” he wrote on Twitter with a photo of Messi.
Messi also won the golden ball after scoring seven goals in the tournament.
