Former Ghana manager coach, Charles Kwablah Akonnor has opened up on his coaching memories at Ghana’s Senior National team, the Black Stars.
Akonnor who qualified Ghana for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament, was sacked in September 2021 alongside his two assistants.
The Ghana Football Association then re-appointed Serbian tactician Milovan Rajevac to charge of the team prior to the World Cup qualifying game against South Africa.
According to the ex- Black Stars captain he did not get things right and it was always a struggle whenever he is inviting players to the national team.
“You know my time, it was always a struggle when we were inviting players. All I wish most of the time was for us to get the full squad so if we have the full house then it’s good but my time I didn’t get the team as I wanted.” Akonnor told Accra-based Happy FM.
