CK Akonnor, head coach of Kenyan giants Gor Mahia, has been crowned Coach of the Month for October in the SportPesa Premier League.
The former Black Stars manager earned the honour after guiding his side to a perfect winning record, keeping three clean sheets and conceding no goals throughout the month.
For his outstanding performance, Akonnor received a cash prize of 75,000 Kenyan shillings, equivalent to a little over six thousand Ghana cedis.
The award comes on the back of Gor Mahia’s 1–0 victory over Tusker on Saturday, which extended their lead at the top of the league table.
CK Akonnor says he is focused on maintaining the club’s strong form as the season progresses.
