Winger Claudio Ofosu is elated after signing for Spennymoor Town FC in the ongoing transfer window.
The 23-year- old wide man joined Spennymoor on a one-year deal on Wednesday from fellow Conference League side Kettering Town ad he is pleased with his move.
“The management team played a big part in the move when I heard there was interest. Their track record speaks for itself.” Ofosu told his club’s TV in his first interview.
“They’ve been successful in this league and non-league in general, so I felt it was the perfect fit for me at this stage of my career.”
“I know a few people who have played under Jonno and Bernard before, and they have told me they get the best out of players.”
“For me at the age I am now it feels like it’s the perfect suit and timing. Their ambitions match mine which is why I have chosen to come to Spennymoor.”
“I do believe I am an out and out winger, but I can play anywhere across the front three and in behind the striker. I have played in midfield before but that isn’t my natural position.”
“I’ve been on a lot of loans at different clubs over the years, but I really feel like this is a place where I can call home and settle for the long term.”
“Anyone who knows me knows I love the North-East after my time at Hartlepool. The people are so friendly and everyone has been very welcoming since I arrived.” He added.
Ofosu previously featured for a host of teams including Hartlepool.
