Orlando Pirates goalkeeper, Richard Ofori believes that getting a place in the Black Stars is based on performances at club level.
In the last few years, Ghanaians have accused administrators of unduly influencing coaches in national team selections, selecting players the deem unfit for the national team level.
But Ofori believes it is the opposite.
“The national team is based on what you do for your club. I don’t think about the national team at the moment because if you are not fit in your club, the national team is useless,” Ofori said on Sowetan Live.
Ofori has recently returned from injury and is looking to book a place in the Black Stars for the 2022 World Cup.
