Colchester United boss Hayden Mullins has praised Ghanaian youngster Brendan Wiredu for his superb performance against Harogate in the English League 2 on Saturday.
The 21-year-old midfielder went on a marauding solo run in the 88th minute before releasing Sylvester Jasper to finish off the move with just two minutes to full time.
Mulling commended Wiredu for his performance as he maintains that the central midfielder has so much in him.
“The run from Brendan (Wiredu) was brilliant and he’s got so much of that in his locker.” Mullins told Gazette
“He’s such an explosive player and when he does get going, he’s hard to stop.”
“He found the pass for Sylv (Jasper) whose finish was excellent.” He added.
Wiredu joined Colchester from the under 23 side of Charlton in February this year and has risen to become a key component of the fourth tier club.
