The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially announced that the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League will kick off on September 6, marking the start of an exciting new season for football fans across the country.
Following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season, which ended just 82 days prior, the GFA has wasted no time in preparing for the upcoming campaign.
Important deadlines have been set for clubs, with Women’s Premier League and Division One League (DOL) teams required to submit their strips by August 15 and squad lists by August 17.
Defending champions Samartex will be looking to retain their title against stiff competition from 17 other clubs in the league.
The new season will also see the introduction of newly promoted teams Young Apostles, Basake Holy Stars, and Vision FC, who will be replacing Great Olympics, Bofoakwa Tano, and Real Tamale United following their relegation from the top flight last season.
As the countdown to kickoff begins, fans can expect another thrilling season of football as teams battle it out for glory in the Ghana Premier League.
