TP Mazembe has officially announced the mutual agreement to terminate the contract of Ghanaian defender Ismail Abdul Ganiyu, who previously captained Asante Kotoko.

Ganiyu joined TP Mazembe in February this year, but the collaboration did not unfold as expected for both parties. In response to the termination, the club has taken steps to prevent any potential legal disputes with the former Wa All Stars player, who is now with Legon Cities, as well as his former team, Kotoko.

In a club statement, TP Mazembe outlined the details of the agreements:

“TPM informs that it has reached agreements for the termination of contracts with its two former players. Here are the details,” a club statement said.

“The club and Ismail Abdul Ganiyu have signed a settlement agreement to put an end to any legal actions from both the player and the club in sports institutions. By mutual agreement, the Ghanaian defender and TPM are parting ways.

Furthermore, the statement included information regarding former WAFA player, Youssifou ATTE:

“Regarding Youssifou ATTE, the player and the club have agreed to an amicable contract termination. The Togolese player left Lubumbashi for Lomé on Monday, August 21st.

“TPM wishes both players a fruitful career.”

TP Mazembe expressed its well-wishes for both players in their future endeavors.
