English Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion FC are understood to have reached an agreement over a fee with Ajax for midfielder Mohammed Kudus earlier thus week.
However, there is no agreement yet between Brighton and the Ghana midfielder over personal terms, according to the BBC.
Kudus has attracted a lot of interest this summer, with both Chelsea and Arsenal keen on the highly-rated 23-year-old.
On Monday 7th August, 2023, reports emerge that Ajax had given the Ghana star a 48hr ultimatum to agree personal terms with Brighton to ensure a deal is signed soon.
Kudus, despite being given an ultimatum to reach agreement with the English club, hasn’t offered Brighton any positive feedback yet. SportsworldGhana.com sources are gathering that, the player and his representatives are eagerly waiting to receive a concrete offer from German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, a side the player genuinely dreams donning their shirt as exclusively reported by our outfit in 2022.
It will be interesting to see if Brighton can push to secure the signature of the Black Stars attacking midfielder before the transfer window closes in August.
Having worked with Otto Addo at the Black Stars level, could the former Ghana international, be able to convince his side to the promising 23-year old midfielder this summer to his dream club?
Otto Addo at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, was excited the performance put up by the Ajax star.
Addo who currently works for Dortmund in one of his interviews with Ghanafa.org said: ‘’Surely it always depends on his position and we try to prepare him for his defensive task but also offensive task, against South Korea he started a little bit more defensive on the right side and he has the freedom to come in the midfield and do his game and offensive wise we try to give him the confidence to do what he thinks is right’’
‘’Surely, he has an eye for his team mates but also if he has space and he can dribble then he should do it, it’s a big strength of him to go one on one, he has a great shot as well so we encourage him to do it. Surely there is always room for improvement but so far, we are very, very happy with his performance’’ Addo added.
Mohammed Kudus made his Black Stars debut in November 2019 under former Ghana gaffer Kwasi Appiah against South African where he capped his impressive display with a sweet strike.
