Ghanaian forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored a brace for Swiss Super League side FC Zürich at home to FC Lugano in a 3-0 win.
The former Accra Hearts of Oak SC talisman for the Blue and Whites outfit as they beat the Black and Whites team 3-0 at home in the third round of games in the 2023-24 Swiss Super League.
After a goalless first 45 minutes of the match, the Ghana attacker scored his first league goal for the home team on the 68th minute mark with a cool finish from the center of the box into the bottom left corner to make it 1-0 FC Zürich.
Eight minutes later, the former CAF Youth Championship winner with the Black Satellites added the second goal for the home team with twelve minutes to end proceedings.
Jonathan Okita added the icing on the cake goal to make it a comprehensive 3-0 victory for Zürich as they go top of the Switzerland Super League with seven points from three games.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian forward has two goals in three matches this season in the Swiss top-flight.
