Hearts of Oak forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, is the only local player to have been called to the Black Stars in Otto Addo’s latest squad list.
In the previous call-up, he went alongside Augustine Okrah, then a Bechem United player and Dennis Korsah, also of Hearts of Oak.
But the latter players have been subsequently dropped in favor of Barnieh, who will travel with the current squad to France and Spain to face Brazil and Nicaragua respectively.
Barnieh has proved to be a key player for the Phobians and inspired the Black Galaxies to qualification to the African Nations Championship tournament for the first time since 2014.
