Ghanaian midfielder David Abagna Sandan has been signed by Al Hilal SC on a permanent basis from Real Tamale United.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder joins Crescent from the Ghana Premier League team for an estimated US$200,000 transfer fee and has agreed to a four-year contract.
After a great individual performance at the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN), where he was named Man of the Match in Ghana’s second group match, the midfielder moves to Sudan.
Abagna played in every match for Ghana throughout the tournament, as they were eliminated on January 28 with a quarterfinal loss to Niger.
In order to finalise his move and have his medical exam on Monday, the midfielder left Ghana’s camp base in Algeria for Sudan on Sunday.
The incredibly gifted footballer was quickly added to the Al Hilal team for the CAF Champions League, which starts in two weeks. Al Hilal are in the same league as Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly SC.
