Ghanaian attacker David Atanga delivered a standout performance as Wolfsberger AC secured a dominant 5-1 away victory over LASK in the Austrian Bundesliga.
Atanga played 81 minutes for Wolfsberger, who cruised to victory in match week 5 at the Raiffeisen Arena. The 27-year-old winger scored his side’s second goal of the match, contributing to their emphatic win on Sunday.
Wolfsberger opened the scoring with Simon Piesinger finding the net just 14 minutes into the game. Atanga doubled the visitors’ lead in the 30th minute, finishing a pass from Dejan Zukic.
The dominance continued into the second half, with Maximilian Ullmann scoring in the 48th minute to make it 3-0. A 51st-minute own goal by Rene Renner further extended Wolfsberger’s lead, and Ullmann added his second goal to seal the win.
LASK managed a late consolation goal through Marin Ljubicic, who converted a penalty two minutes into added time.
Atanga has now made four appearances in the Austrian top-flight this season, netting one goal.
