Ghana international Denis Odoi was sent off on Wednesday night as Club Brugge were knocked out of the UEFA Europa Conference League at home.
For the second consecutive season, Fiorentina secured their spot in the Conference League final by defeating Club Brugge 4-3 on aggregate, concluding with a 1-1 draw on Thursday night.
Although the Italians entered the second leg with a one-goal advantage, Brugge were levelled when Maxim De Cuyper found the net in the first half. Nevertheless, Lucas Beltran clinched victory for his team with a late penalty, propelling them into the final.
Odoi, who was coming into the starting up for the second leg of the semifinal clash, was shown a yellow card for a bad foul in the 77th before receiving a second in the 93rd minute of the game.
