Diego Maradona’s junior brother Hugo Hernan Maradona, has died of a heart failure at the age of 52.
Hugo, who played for clubs including Rapid Vienna, Rayo Vallecano, Napoli, Ascoli and a host of others was reported to have past away in his home in the Italian city of Napoli.
His death comes a little over a year when his elder brother Diego Armando Maradona who is regarded as the best player the world has ever seen died at the age of 60 from cardiac arrest.
“The thoughts of club president Aurelio De Laurentiis, vice president Edoardo De Laurentiis, officials, coaching staff, the players and the whole SSC Napoli family are with the Maradona family after the sad passing of Hugo,” A press release from Napoli FC stated.
