Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC head coach Isaac Opeele Boateng has asked the Ghana Football Association hierarchy to trust in Chris Hughton.
The Black coach has come under severe public scrutiny following Ghana’s shambolic and uninspring display on last Sunday and Wednesday respectively.
Despite the fact that Ghana hasn’t seen any massive changes in performance under the leadership of Hughton as the head of the technical team, the ex-Tema Youth manager remains confident in the gaffer.
According to him, the Football Association’s decision makers should stick to the coach and not give up on him due to public opinion.
“GFA and Kurt must not sack Chris Hughton. Let it spoil. The All Known PERFECT MEDIA COACH.”
“I keep reminding the GFA that Hughton is UNTOUCHABLE! He is their choice; the media can sack Hughton themselves.”
Ghana got beaten by the El Tricolor of Mexico by 2-0 and were thrashed 4-0 by the United States of America in Nashville in an international friendly matches before the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in November.
