Former Asante Kotoko and Black Stars head coach CK Akunnor is optimistic Dreams FC can win the CAF Confederation Cup.
In an interview on Akoma FM, Akunnor praised Dreams FC and expressed his happiness in Karim Zito’s side making Ghana proud.
“Dreams FC is succeeding and has brought pride to Ghana. How fearlessly and confidently they play is something to behold,” said CK.
Dreams FC have been playing like they have been regulars in inter-club competitions on the continent as they play with pure passion and confidence.
“I think they will win the competition the way they are going. We must all lend them our support. We should all be proud of the players for demonstrating soundness and unity, and we should support them to reach the finals and possibly win the championship,” added Charles Akunnor.
The former Asante Kotoko boss urged Ghanaians to give Dreams FC the needed support.
“I believe the players have demonstrated some soundness in their play, as well as some understanding among themselves, which is critical, so they have gone above and beyond what one could expect,” concluded CK Akunnor.
Dreams FC has resurrected Ghanaian’s interest in club football as they have defied the odds and are on the brink of a semi-final berth in the CAF Confederation Cup.
On Sunday at 4 pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Dreams FC will protect the 2-1 lead they secured in Mali in the first leg.
