Abdul Karim Zito, coach of Dreams FC, sets ambitious goals for his team following their historic qualification for the semifinals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
In a decisive second-leg encounter against Stade Malien at the Baba Yara Stadium, Dreams FC secured their passage to the next stage with a hard-fought 1-1 draw, adding to their 2-1 victory from the first leg in Bamako.
Speaking after the match, coach Zito emphasized the team’s unwavering determination to aim for the ultimate prize. “We will not let the qualification put us down, we are going to prepare,” affirmed Zito, highlighting the team’s resolve to capitalize on their achievement and push for victory. “I think people will take us seriously now, but we are going for the ultimate.”
With Dreams FC now poised to face Egyptian giants Zamalek SC in the semifinals, Zito remains focused on the task at hand.
The first leg of the highly anticipated clash is scheduled for April 21 at the Cairo International Stadium, followed by the return leg at the Baba Yara Stadium on April 28, setting the stage for an intense battle as Dreams FC continues their pursuit of glory in the prestigious continental tournament.
