Dreams FC booked their spot in the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup final after a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Medeama SC in an entertaining semi-final clash at the Swedru Sports Stadium on Saturday.
The encounter lived up to expectations, with both teams delivering a high-energy performance filled with quality attacking play and tense moments. Dreams FC started brightly and took control in the 23rd minute when Kelvin Ahiable calmly finished to open the scoring.
They continued to press forward and doubled their advantage in the 36th minute through Suraj Seidu, who completed a well-worked team move to give Dreams a comfortable lead heading towards halftime.
Medeama, however, refused to back down. Emmanuel Owusu pulled one back before the break, giving his side renewed belief. Their resurgence continued early in the second half, as Richard Appiah struck just four minutes after the restart to level the score at 2-2.
With the game finely balanced, it was experience that ultimately made the difference. Veteran striker John Antwi rose to the occasion, finding the decisive goal to restore Dreams FC’s lead and secure victory.
The win sends Dreams FC into the final, where they are set to face Nations FC in what promises to be an exciting showdown for the prestigious trophy.
