Dreams FC’s head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, sees their Super Cup clash against Medeama SC as a valuable opportunity to prepare for their upcoming match in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The two teams are set to square off in the 2023 Champion of Champions match at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday, September 3, with a kickoff time of 3:00 pm.
Dreams FC secured their place in the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup by eliminating Guinea’s Milo FC over two legs.
Karim Zito, who will lead his team against Sierra Leone’s Kallon FC in the next round, aims to shape his squad’s readiness with the experience gained from the Super Cup encounter.
“A lot of experience for both of us because our players who have never been to or have never played Confederation Cup before in Africa.
“So for now they are briefing the air of importance for qualifying to the next stage.
“I’m using this game on two purposes, one to enhance preparation for our next stage of the Confederation Cup, two to win it and add it to our cups.
“So it is a match of importance for us.” Karim Zito told Radio Gold Sports.
This strategic approach will help Dreams FC prepare for their continental campaign while aiming to secure the Super Cup as an additional accolade.
