Dundee United Football Club has confirmed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Agyei on a permanent deal from Israeli side FC Ashdod.
Agyei, 21, began his career in Ghana with Dreams FC, where he played 25 times in his first full season and helped the team win the FA Cup, earning a place in the CAF Confederation Cup. He also represented Ghana at the 2024 African Games, helping the Black Stars win the gold medal.
After moving to Israel, Agyei played 27 times for FC Ashdod and had a brief loan with Hapoel Ramat Gan. He became known for his interceptions, passing, and ability to play in different midfield roles.
Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin praised Agyei, saying: “He has energy, composure, and a real hunger to improve. We are confident he will adapt well to Scottish football and strengthen our midfield.”
Agyei joins Dundee United eager to continue his development and make an impact in the Scottish Premiership.
