Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong has inked a contract extension with Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
The 22-year-old right-back has committed his future to the club, signing a new deal that will keep him at Leverkusen until June 2028.
Frimpong initially joined Bayer Leverkusen in 2021 after leaving Celtic and has since become a pivotal player for the team. His exceptional performances have garnered interest from several clubs, including Manchester United.
To fend off potential suitors, Bayer Leverkusen has secured Frimpong’s services until 2028. The defender has started the 2023/24 season impressively, contributing with two goals and three assists in eight matches.
