Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Jayden Addai scored in his second consecutive game since returning from injury as Jong AZ recorded another emphatic win in the Eerste Divisie.
Jong AZ hosted De Graafschap at home on Monday evening looking to climb up the league table.
Addai started the game together with Ernest Poku who had been involved in the senior team’s win over the weekend in the Eredivisie.
Mexx Meerdink opened the scoring for Jong AZ in the second half of the game after a goalless game in the opening 45 minutes of the encounter.
Addai then took advantage of the momentum scoring three minutes after his teammate’ opening goal in the 54th minute. He saw his shot deflected off the opposition player and into the net.
Damienus Reverson wrapped up the victory with a third in additional time with Jong AZ moving up to 9th on the table.
Addai has now scored eight goals this season in nine games while also providing one assist during that time.
