Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax and Dutch-born Ghanaian youngster Don-Angelo Konadu have reached an agreement on a new contract.
The new contract for the 18-year-old forward will run until June 30, 2028. His former agreement ran until mid-2025.
The Dutch-born attacker of Ghanaian descent has been handed contract extension having impressed the technical handlers of the Dutch powerhouse.
Konadu was born on 3 May 2006 in Amsterdam and joined the Ajax youth academy in 2014.
On 12 August 2024, Konadu made his professional debut in the away game for Ajax U23 against PSV U23, which ended in a 2-2 draw. So far, he has played eight matches for Ajax U23.
Ajax Director of Football, shared his thoughts after Konadu’s contract extension offer.

Marijn Beuker said: ‘’Don-Angelo has developed tremendously over the past few years and is also making good progress this season with Ajax U23. He is already regularly involved in first-team training sessions by Francesco Farioli.’’
He added that: ‘’We are very pleased with this contract extension and see in Don-Angelo a player with great potential to become a regular in the Ajax first team in the near future.’’
Konadu has made eight caps so far this season in the Eerste Divisie, registering one assist in the process.
His brilliant display in the Eerste Divisie has also earned his a spot in Ajax’s 21-man squad who are flying to Prague in the Czech Republic on Wednesday afternoon.
Ajax will face Slavia Prague on Thursday evening at 18:45 in a UEFA Europa League match.
