Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta believes that Eddie Nketiah is ready to show what he is made of for his club when the season resumes.
Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus is currently injured for months and the main duties to score has now fallen on the feet of Nketiah, who was the second choice striker.
Arteta has noted that Eddie has an opportunity and is ready for it.
“Eddie [Nketiah] is always ready. He knows that it opens an opportunity for him,” Arteta told Arsenal’s official website.
He added: “He needs to grab it but the way he trains every day and the mentality he has, he gives us no reason not to think he’s going to be super ready to perform.”
Eddie Nketiah is yet to switch to Ghana on international level.
