Three English footballers of Ghanaian descent Eddie Nketiah, Tariq Lamptey and Callum Hudson Odoi have been handed a starting berth by England U21 coach Aidy Boothroyd for their 2021 European championship qualifiers against Austria at the Keine Sorgen Arena, Ried later tonight.
Boothroyd thus makes six changes from Friday’s squad who thrashed Kosovo 6-0 on Friday to extend their perfect record in Euro qualifying.
Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah scored a hat-trick in the game after just nine minutes.
Lamptey, Hudson-Odoi have been given the opportunity to start the game for the English U21s as they seek to make it six wins in six games in the qualifying campaign.
England leads C table of the qualifiers after winning all their five games played so far in the qualifiers, three above Austria who have won four out of their five matches.
