Bechem United failed to take advantage of Asante Kotoko’s defeat at Real Tamale United to close the gap at the summit of the Ghana Premier League standings.
Kotoko still lead the league log on 52 points – eight more over second-placed Bechem United. The gap could have been reduced to five had the Hunters won at Techiman Eleven Wonders.
Augustine Okrah struck to put the visiting Bechem United ahead in the 31st minute before Emmanuel Boakye Owusu made it 2-0 two minutes on top of the hour mark.
But the home team staged a great comeback to equalize twice and then go ahead to secure the winner to close the game at 3-2 as Laar Ibrahim hit a superb brace in the second half with Sumaila Moro scoring the other goal for the home team.
