Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Boateng showcased his scoring prowess, netting a goal for Rio Ave in their 2-2 draw against Arouca in the Portuguese top tier on Sunday.
Boateng’s contribution, along with an early goal from Aderlan Leandro de Jesus Santos, gave Rio Ave a comfortable two-goal lead at halftime.
However, Arouca mounted a second-half comeback, securing the draw with goals from Cristo Gonzalez and Jason.
Despite Boateng’s goal, Rio Ave remains just one point above the relegation zone in the league standings.
