Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Danso is on the verge of a move to Scottish Premiership side Livingston FC, with the deal expected to be completed once his contract with Norwegian club Stabæk expires on December 30.
The 25-year-old will join Livingston on a free transfer, having already signed a pre-contract agreement. The Scottish club is looking to strengthen its midfield ahead of the January transfer window, and Danso’s technical ability and work rate make him an attractive addition.
Emmanuel Danso began his career in Accra before moving to France, where he featured in the academy and B team setup of Olympique Lyonnais. He later moved to Norway, playing for Strømsgodset before joining Stabæk in 2025, where he has been a regular in midfield.
Danso gained wider attention in 2024 when Ghana star Mohammed Kudus praised him as one of the best players he had played with during their academy days. This recognition helped spark interest from clubs across Europe, including Livingston.
The midfielder’s work permit has already been approved, supported by strong recommendations from Kudus and Rangers’ Mohamed Diomande, highlighting Danso’s professionalism and quality.
Livingston plan to make a formal announcement once his registration opens in January. The move represents a major step in Danso’s career, giving him the opportunity to compete in a physically demanding and competitive league while continuing his development in Europe.
