Head coach of Ghana Premier League side, Kumasi Asante Kotoko has confirmed midfield maestro, Emmanuel Sarkodie will miss the rest of the 2020/21 campaign.
The former Nkoranza Warriors chap is set to spend several weeks in the treatment room after picking up a knee injury prior to the club’s FA Cup tie against Asokwa Deportivo in midweek.
The 25-year-old has been a vital part of the squad this season but the club will now miss his services due to the season-ending injury he has sustained.
Coach Barreto broke the news in an interview with the club’s official website, adding that he will be out for a long time.
“Sarkodie, unfortunately, will be out for the rest of the season”, the Kotoko gaffer told the club’s official website.
“He is out with a knee injury which occurred here in training and the doctors are working to ascertain the degree of it. But, what is assured is that he will not play any more part this season”
Sarkodie has managed 15 appearances for the club this season, notching two assists in the domestic league as well as the 2020/21, CAF Confederation Cup
