Arsenal moved into the Premier League Top 4 following their 2-0 home win over Leicester City and Ghana’s Thomas Partey played a big part.
The Black Stars midfielder scored in the 11th minute to put Arsenal ahead before Alexandre Lacazette added a second goal in the 59th.
The goal was his second of the season in 23 games across all competitions.
The Gunners are 4th on the EPL Standings on 51 points – a point ahead of Manchester United who have played three more games than Arsenal.
“You could see he was voted player of the month last month and he’s come a long way, he has the consistency and the minutes, he understands what we want much better.” Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta said of Partey.
“I think his cohesion and understanding with the rest of the players is getting better and better and now it is about consistency and to keep doing it.” Arteta added.
