English-born Ghanaian defender Jerome Opoku has reacted to his maiden Black Stars call-up for the games against Mexico and the United States of America respectively.
He was call-up by the head coach for Ghana Chris Hughton as Ghana takes on the two most successful countries in the Northern part of America.
He has been in a fine form for his new club Istanbul Basaksehir in the Turkish Super Lig since joining the club from Liga Portugal side FC Arouca
Opoku, in two matches in the Turkish top-flight has been named in the Team-Of-The-Week twice in the league after a scintillating performances for the former champions.
With his height and aerial prowess, the defender offers Chris Hughton and his team an option and plan B against defensive teams.
